Recently, I had a sudden impulse
to think that while I usually play games,
I could record some interesting moments from my games
and use AI voice
to add subtitles and simply upload them online
This way, it feels like I have a record of my gaming moments
So, I created a channel
called
Casual Play Casual Record
https://www.youtube.com/@zoearthplay
and uploaded videos of Monster Hunter: World that I recently played
The video production was quite lazy
because my voice is deep
and I don't have good recording equipment
So I used a speech-to-text method for the video
and then used text-to-AI voice
It was indeed quite lazy
but it was convenient and quick
I uploaded two videos and then went to sleep
The next day, I wanted to check if the videos had any views...
But...
??????
My channel was removed by YouTube?
It wasn't a yellow or red flag
It was directly removed
Then I found this email in my inbox
Serious or repeated violations?!?!?!
I just uploaded two gaming videos yesterday
Indeed, the videos were quite trashy (poorly made)
But if we're talking about trashy videos,
there are more trashy ones on YT
And it's obvious this was reviewed by AI algorithms
So I had to appeal
The next day, I received this email
Should I be happy about this?
Actually, I know my videos might have been flagged as scam videos by AI algorithms
Mainly because of "AI voice"
since many scam videos now use "AI voice"
Maybe this made the algorithm think my videos were likely scam videos
But there are currently a lot of AI voice videos
If AI voice alone is used to judge, there will definitely be many false positives
The content of the video and reports should be considered
Anyway
I learned a lesson
which is
that using YouTube's services
could result in being banned at any time
Although you can appeal,
getting banned without any warning
did surprise me a bit
